Dr Anil is a Senior Consultant (Neurovascular and Interventional Radiology) and Head of Division of Interventional Radiology at National University Hospital, Singapore (NUHS). He established the neuorinterventional service at NUHS and is among the pioneers for introducing new neuro IR services such as intra-arterial chemosurgery for retinoblastoma and dural venous sinus stenting for idiopathic intracranial hypertension in Singapore. He has organized several training workshops on flow-diversion for intracranial aneurysms and mechanical thrombectomy in AIS for physicians in the South-East Asia and serves as a proctor for certain neurovascular products/ procedures in the region.

Dr Anil obtained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists, London in May 2007. He has been working in NUHS as a Consultant Interventionist since 2010 and has previously worked as an honorary Consultant Radiologist at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals, United Kingdom. Dr Anil has 71 scientific publications, this includes 51 peer-reviewed articles in pubmed indexed journals of repute (35 of these are as lead/last/corresponding author); 2 text book chapters; and 18 published conference abstracts). He was a core-faculty for the NUHS-Radiology residency programme from 2011-2016. He regularly reviews manuscripts for well-known journals like European Radiology, AJNR, Cancer Imaging etc. Over the last three years, he has delivered 35 invited presentations at various regional-international conferences and workshops. He has also been involved in organizing several regional-international conferences related to neuroendovascular/ interventional radiological therapies.
